Unified Shram Suvidha Portal (USSP) is to give employers one-stop compliance for labour laws.

1. Single Registration – LIN

  • Every establishment gets a Labour Identification Number (LIN).

  • LIN replaces multiple codes: EPFO, ESIC, CLRA, ISMW, DGMS, etc.

  • All compliance, inspections, returns, and notices are tracked through this LIN.

2. Unified Filing of Returns

  • Instead of filing separate returns with EPFO, ESIC, CLRA, ISMW, etc., employers file one consolidated return on USSP.

  • Covers:

    • EPF (PF contributions)

    • ESI (medical & social security)

    • Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition Act)

    • Inter-State Migrant Workmen Act

    • Factories Act & Mines Act compliance

3. Inspection & Enforcement

  • Transparent, computerized inspection scheme:

    • Randomized allocation of inspectors.

    • Inspection reports uploaded within 72 hours.

  • Employers can view & respond online → no physical chasing.

4. Online Licenses & Registrations

  • Employers can apply for licences/renewals online under:

    • Contract Labour Act (CLRA)

    • Inter-State Migrant Workers Act (ISMW)

    • Factory & Mines Safety registrations

  • Payment of fees also integrated.
